Book Review

When your nemesis is the entire Union, a taste for revenge is insatiable. “The Preacher” is a classic western story following a U.S. Marshal by the name of Jake Silver as he has to stop an assassin and his network of criminals from compromising the already chaotic old west. “The Preacher” is a simply entertaining read that should not be missed by western fans.
My next project
October 15th, 2009I am hard at work writing my next book. All my research is done, and I’m through the third chapter already. The book will be an exciting look at the lives of gold miners in and around Silverton, Colorado, and the outlaws who would rather steal gold than dig it out of the ground for themselves. Look for it early in 2010.
New Book!
August 8th, 2009THE PREACHER is an exciting story that follows an assassin bent on revenge after the death of his parents by Union forces. Trained to kill by none other than ‘Bloody Bill’ Anderson, the assassin is terrorizing the West. Deputy U.S. Marshal Jake Silver must hunt him down and bring him to justice before he kills again, and round up an entire network of criminal activity.

Not every criminal is a foul human being. “The Feather Gang” is a novel set in the American Old West following the Feather Gang as they evade U.S. Marshal Jake Silver, who is hot on their trail trying to bring them to justice. An old fashioned story of the honorable bandits and the equally honorable law, “The Feather Gang” is a charming story that will please Old West fiction fans.

Welcome to my blog page.
June 8th, 2009Welcome Old West action-adventure fans! You have come to the right place, so let’s talk all about Westerns!
My second book, The Preacher, is almost done! One more chapter to go…details to follow later.
Who is your favorite Western character of all time? What is your all-time top 10 favorite Western novels? Do you have any interesting thoughts and insights on Westerns? Feel free to share.
Thanks, Jon.
In my books I try to make sure that all the details are historically accurate. Even though I write fiction, I like to pretend that the story really could have happened. The weapons, clothes, and places are accurate to the time of the story. I enjoy history, especially American history, and I try to reflect that in my writing. Living in New Mexico gives me the opportunity to see first hand the country that I am writing about. The entire “Four Corners” area is facinating with its diversity in landscape, culture, and history. I enjoy finding and exploring ancient Indian ruins, old mineshafts, and hiking the great mountain trails in New Mexico and Colorado.
